Christine Porter is a thoughtful and values-driven counselor who brings both clinical insight and community perspective to her role as Partnership Development Consultant and Counselor. With experience spanning counseling, college coaching, behavioral support, and group facilitation, Christine has supported both children and adults—particularly those navigating trauma, co-occurring diagnoses, or systemic barriers tied to socioeconomic challenges.
Christine’s approach to therapy is holistic, person-centered, and trauma-informed. She believes that clients are the architects of their own healing and that therapy works best when it matches a person’s individual goals and readiness for change. She has worked in outpatient, residential, school, and hospital settings, always with a focus on helping clients feel respected, empowered, and understood.
Her specialties include trauma, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and co-occurring diagnoses across the lifespan. Christine is credentialed in Trauma-Informed Care through OCCRRA and the CANS Assessment, and she brings a wide lens to her work, supporting the whole person while considering the systems that shape their experiences.
Christine earned her Associate degree in Human and Social Services from Stark State College, her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Malone University, and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work through Cleveland State University’s Advanced Standing program.
Clients working with Christine find a steady, supportive presence. “I’m here to assist with your goals,” she says. “You are the one building the path. We’re just walking it together.”
Outside of work, Christine’s world revolves around her family. Fun fact: she often competed in roller skating competitions in the late 1980s with her siblings!
