At HWS Best Health Counseling & Psychiatry, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health care to individuals and families. Our goal is to empower our clients through compassionate and evidence-based services, promoting wellness of the mind, body, and spirit.
Our Founders
Lauri Pierce, Chief Executive Office and Founder of HWS Best Health, holds a Master of Social Service Administration (MSSA) from Case Western Reserve University and is a Licensed Independent Social Worker with Supervisory Designation (LISW-S). Co-Founder, Jeffrey Boncheck, brings a wealth of business and operations knowledge that has aided in the success and growth of HWS. Lauri and Jeffrey's passion for mental health care and Lauri's extensive clinical experience drive our commitment to excellence.

Our Services
HWS offers a range of services, including individual and family counseling, diagnostic and psychiatric assessments, case management, and medication management. We meet clients where they are most comfortable, whether it's in their homes, schools, shelters, or via telehealth.

Led by Lauri Pierce and Jeffrey Bonchek, our diverse administrative team and team of providers are dedicated to client-centered care. We are passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve.
Our Growth
Since our establishment in 2019, HWS has experienced remarkable growth, expanding our reach to eight counties across Ohio and serving over 1,200 clients in 2023. We embrace innovative approaches like telehealth to extend our services statewide.

What insurance networks are accepted?HWS Best Health is in-network with Medicaid, Medicare and most major health plans. Additionally, we offer a sliding fee scale and self-pay rates, if needed. Network status with your insurance company is not a guarantee of payment.

How do I get matched with a counselor?HWS Best Health's counselors are invested in their clients. We have a very diverse team of counselors that have extensive experience in working with children, adults and families with very diverse backgrounds. Once our intake team receives your referral, we will have a conversation with you to determine the best fit. It is important to us that you are matched to a counselor with whom you feel at ease - someone with whom you have a good rapport and working alliance.

How quickly will I be matched with a counselor?Once we receive your information, we will connect with you to begin the intake process. There are various factors that play into the timeline of being matched. This process can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. However, we always strive to make this period as short as possible!

What is the appointment cancellation policy?We understand that emergencies arise. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that your provide a 24 hour notice.
