Taylor Ross is a licensed counselor with experience across community mental health, schools, rehabilitation, and inpatient settings. She began her career as a case manager intern in the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities unit and later worked as a peer tutor at Valley Christian High School, supporting students in finding learning approaches that fit their individual needs. Taylor has also served as a Social Services Director at Shepherd of the Valley and as a social worker at Generations Behavioral Health, helping clients and families navigate care and connect with ongoing support.
Taylor has worked with individuals ranging from early childhood through older adulthood and is passionate about creating a welcoming, supportive environment. She often incorporates talk and play therapy, believing that engaging activities can help clients feel more comfortable opening up. Her clinical interests include mental health, substance use, autism, and intellectual and developmental disabilities, and she utilizes techniques from CBT, DBT, play therapy, and ABA.
Taylor believes progress is not linear and that every step forward matters. She focuses on helping clients find their inner strengths while celebrating both small and big victories along the way. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Adrian College and is known for her open, approachable style.
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys playing and watching sports, participating in a golf league, drawing, reading at coffee shops, and spending time with others. She believes showing up, even on difficult days, is something worth celebrating.
