Her background includes working as a case manager for individuals with chronic and severe mental illness, a school-based counselor serving students in grades K-12, and an inpatient counselor providing individual and group support to adults. She has also worked with specialized school programs focused on helping students successfully return to traditional educational settings.

Shelli has worked in outpatient, school, and hospital settings, supporting individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, depression, crisis, and more complex mental health concerns. Her approach is gently authentic and focused on helping clients better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, and feel empowered to make meaningful changes.

She is experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Shelli believes empathy, compassion, self-awareness, and empowerment are essential to the healing process. She strives to create a space where clients feel encouraged to be themselves while having the support they need to grow.

Shelli studied Community Mental Health at The University of Akron. Her passion for this work comes from a genuine desire to help others in an encouraging and authentic way. She believes everyone deserves the opportunity to become the best version of themselves.

Outside of work, Shelli enjoys spending time with her family, especially her grandson, as well as Tai Chi, hiking, and traveling abroad. She is also a certified Reiki Practitioner and enjoys playing Pokémon Go!

“Everyone deserves to be the best version of themselves, and we all can learn from one another.”
