ShaTina Williams brings a diverse background in social services, community leadership, and mental health care to her role as a counselor. She has served as a hospice companion in a nursing home, tele-health therapist, and program coordinator with the USO supporting military families, and she is also the founder of a wellness and community group for African American women. These experiences have shaped her passion for working with adults, particularly within military and minority communities, and for creating spaces where individuals from all backgrounds feel seen, heard, and valued.

ShaTina’s approach to counseling is grounded in Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She meets clients where they are and helps them move toward where they want to be, empowering them to build on their strengths, develop resiliency, and gain the tools needed to navigate life’s challenges. She specializes in supporting individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, panic attacks, grief and loss, substance use, stress, relationship challenges, and career or academic pressures.

ShaTina earned her Master of Social Work degree from Salisbury University. She believes that therapy is a collaborative process built on respect and trust, and she is dedicated to working just as hard as her clients to help them achieve their goals. She often reminds her clients, “You don’t know what you don’t know,” emphasizing the importance of knowledge and insight as the first step toward change.

Outside of her professional work, ShaTina enjoys traveling, sightseeing, and exploring new cultures as part of her commitment to self-growth and wellness. She also loves brunch outings, roller skating, and visiting museums. No matter where she is, ShaTina finds ways to challenge herself, seek new experiences, and embrace opportunities for self-improvement.

“In therapy, I look forward to tailoring each experience to a client’s unique needs and goals, ensuring that the process is collaborative and always in their best interest.”
