Latrice Banks is a counselor who brings compassion, structure, and a collaborative spirit to the individuals and families she serves. Throughout her career, she has held various roles including Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, School-Based Therapist, and Behavior Intervention Specialist. These experiences have allowed her to support people across many stages of life, including at-risk children and youth, families, adults with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, and adults with developmental disabilities.

Latrice has worked in a variety of settings such as outpatient residential facilities, group homes, and both rural and urban schools. These experiences have shaped her flexible and thoughtful approach to care. Her work is trauma-informed, strengths-based, collaborative, and goal-oriented, with a focus on helping clients develop practical tools to manage challenges and move toward meaningful growth.

Latrice believes therapy works best when clients feel heard, respected, and supported while learning skills that help them function more effectively in their daily lives.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Youngstown State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at Walden University. In addition to her counseling work, Latrice has been involved in mentorship efforts with Trumbull County Children Services, reflecting her commitment to supporting young people and families in her community.

Clients often appreciate Latrice’s balance of compassion and honesty. She works to create a space where people feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgment, while also encouraging reflection, accountability, and personal growth. She views therapy as a partnership and strives to work alongside clients toward goals that truly matter to them.

Outside of work, Latrice enjoys activities that help her recharge, including weightlifting, listening to music, gaming, creating art, and spending time outdoors hiking with her dog. These interests help her stay balanced and bring her best self to the people she serves.
