Kristy Currence brings extensive experience in both clinical and leadership roles to her work as a counselor. Throughout her career, she has served as a therapist, case manager, program director, area director, and regional director, with a consistent focus on supporting children and families. Her background has shaped a well-rounded, practical approach to outpatient counseling that balances compassion with meaningful change.
Kristy practices from a person-centered perspective and believes in solution-focused growth that empowers clients to take an active role in their progress. She specializes in working with children and families impacted by trauma, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Known for being direct yet deeply compassionate, Kristy helps clients identify patterns, set goals, and realign themselves in ways that feel authentic and sustainable.
Kristy earned her social work degree from the University of Toledo and her degree in Community Counseling from Malone University. She also previously served as a Regional Director for a Treatment Foster Care Agency, bringing valuable insight into family systems and child-focused care.
Outside of work, Kristy enjoys spending time with her adult children and her senior dog, Tuxedo.
