Kelsey Elliott is a Counseling Intern at HWS Best Health, where she is dedicated to supporting children and families. With experience in outpatient services and child protective services settings, Kelsey approaches therapy with an open mind, encouraging clients to stay motivated and engaged while also fostering accountability. Kelsey believes therapy can benefit everyone, regardless of past or present challenges.
Her clinical focus includes working with children, anxiety, and substance use disorders. She emphasizes the importance of self-reflection, motivation, and accountability in the healing process, noting that clients who put in the work often see the best outcomes. Kelsey earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Kent State University and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work, with an expected graduation in 2026.
Clients can expect Kelsey to meet them where they are, creating a space that is both supportive and engaging. She values building genuine connections and getting to know her clients while working toward their goals.
Outside of her professional work, Kelsey enjoys reading, spending time with her fiancé and their puppy, Ernest, and staying active by playing pickleball. She also loves being creative with her Cricut for crafting projects.
“Something I’ve learned from my clients is patience for myself. As a new counselor, I had to learn patience when it comes to treatment and how different each case really is.”
