Katelyn George, LSW, brings experience in school-based, in-home, and outpatient therapy to her work with adolescents. She has supported teens ages 12–18 through a variety of challenges and communities, including through her previous roles as a School-Based Therapist, In-Home Therapist, and MST/PSB Therapist.
Katelyn takes a collaborative, compassionate, and client-centered approach to counseling. She believes every person is unique and tailors therapy to each client’s needs, goals, and experiences. Her areas of focus include anxiety, depression, family concerns, trauma, and the unique challenges that come with adolescence. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while creating a relaxed environment where clients can speak openly without judgment.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Akron. Katelyn believes healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. She also believes therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating, and that appropriate humor and laughter can help build connection, reduce stress, and make difficult moments feel a little lighter.
Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys spending time with her husband and their two sons, camping, and being on the water. As a counselor, she values giving clients the space to express their unfiltered thoughts and feelings, knowing that feeling heard and understood can be an important part of the healing process.
