Julie Creel brings deep compassion and a thoughtful, client-centered approach to her work with children, adolescents, and young adults. With a background in both outpatient and school-based settings, Julie supports her clients through a variety of life challenges using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Psycho-Educational Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy. She believes in meeting each person where they are and walking alongside them toward growth, healing, and greater emotional balance.
Julie holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She is currently working toward independent licensure and EMDR certification to further deepen her ability to support those affected by trauma. Julie is also an active member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and a dedicated supporter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Outside of her professional life, Julie finds joy and grounding in time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren, especially if it involves a sunny day and the family pool. She also loves peaceful nature walks and, perhaps most of all, a good cup of coffee.
Julie lives by the belief: “Life is constantly filled with unexpected events, we should appreciate each moment to its fullest.”
