Jacqueline DeRue
-
Business and Operations Coordinator
HWS Main Office
330-771-0132
As the Business & Operations Coordinator, Jacqueline DeRue’s work spans cross-department communication, project and process management, onboarding and compliance support, client relationship management, and operational improvement efforts that help strengthen the organization as a whole.
Jacqueline brings a strong background in business operations, logistics coordination, and customer relationship management to her role. Most recently, she worked as an Account Manager for NetJets Aviation, Inc., where she managed complex logistics while building strong relationships with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment. Prior to that, she gained additional experience through roles and internships in the health and auto insurance industries while also working in the restaurant field.
Although her background is rooted in business operations rather than direct clinical care, Jacqueline is deeply connected to HWS’ mission and values the opportunity to support meaningful work that impacts individuals and families in the community. She is especially passionate about improving systems and processes that make both staff and client experiences more efficient, organized, and supportive.
Jacqueline earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State University. Her leadership style is grounded in collaboration, adaptability, and empathy. She believes the best leaders are approachable, open-minded, and willing to grow alongside the people they support. Creating an environment where others feel respected, heard, and comfortable bringing forward ideas or concerns is something she prioritizes in her work each day.
She credits much of her inspiration for leadership in the mental health field to her mother, Lauri, who taught her the importance of leading with patience, compassion, and a willingness to keep learning.
Outside of work, Jacqueline enjoys cooking, reading, painting, traveling, yoga, and exercise classes. She also loves spending time with family, friends, and her mini poodle, Ollie, who keeps life entertaining.
Jacqueline states: “Strong leaders are humble, adaptable, and understand that learning is a continuous process. Leadership is not about having all the answers, it’s about listening, supporting others, and growing together.”
