Haley Haren is a compassionate and experienced counselor who brings deep care and clinical expertise to her work with adolescents and families. With a background in both outpatient and school-based mental health services, Haley has supported individuals ranging in age from early childhood through adulthood. Currently, she provides counseling to middle school students at Louisville Middle School, where she creates a safe, trusting space for youth to explore challenges, build resilience, and grow.

Before joining the school-based setting, Haley worked with children in the foster care and adoption systems and served as a Victim of Crime Advocate during her graduate studies. Her approach is grounded in the belief that each client is the expert of their own life. She meets individuals where they are with transparency, respect, and a commitment to helping them move toward healing and meaningful change.

Haley is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and EMDR, and she holds certifications in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Sand Tray Therapy. She specializes in treating trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, oppositional behaviors, relationship difficulties, family system dynamics, and life transitions.

She earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Kent State University. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over six years of experience in the mental health field and three years of licensure. Haley also presented at the Ohio Counseling Association Spring Conference in 2021, contributing her voice to discussions about counselor development during the pandemic.

Outside of work, Haley finds joy in spending time with her large extended family, relaxing with her husband and daughter, and watching her daughter grow and discover the world. She especially cherishes the shared experience of raising children alongside close friends and cousins, creating lifelong bonds and cherished memories.

Haley believes: “Everyone can experience peace, growth, and happiness if they choose that path for themselves and strive to calm their internal battles.”
