Gabrielle Gayheart is a compassionate and committed counselor who believes that healing begins with feeling safe, seen, and heard. With a background in crisis work and advocacy, Gabrielle brings deep empathy and steadiness to her work with children and individuals navigating challenging experiences. She currently serves as a survivor advocate with COMPASS Rape Crisis Center alongside her counseling role, and her previous experience includes working as a mental health technician in inpatient care, a 988 crisis line counselor, and a member of the Stark County Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team.

Gabrielle’s therapeutic style is client-centered and strengths-based. She integrates cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution-focused approaches to meet clients where they are, always tailoring her work to their values, goals, and personal stories. Her clinical focus includes school-aged youth, survivors and co-survivors of sexual violence, and individuals in crisis, with a deep respect for each client’s inner resilience and potential for growth.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Social Work at Walden University. Gabrielle is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and is trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM).

Clients working with Gabrielle can expect a thoughtful, grounded presence who walks alongside them with honesty, care, and deep respect. “I believe in your ability to heal and grow,” she says. “Wherever you are in your process, I’ll meet you there.”

Outside of work, Gabrielle finds joy in spontaneous travel, exploring new cultures, foods, and local histories. When she’s home, she loves getting lost in a good book, a favorite way to unwind, reflect, and reconnect.
