Emma Castlevetere, LSW, works with children and youth ages 3–21 in both outpatient and school settings. She brings a warm, collaborative approach to counseling, with a focus on building strong therapeutic relationships and helping clients feel comfortable, understood, and supported.

Her approach is person-centered and strengths-based, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy. Emma’s areas of focus include childhood concerns, trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and identity development. She also places a strong emphasis on involving caregivers, recognizing that children often make the greatest progress when their support systems have the tools to reinforce growth outside of sessions.

Emma earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from St. Bonaventure University and her Master of Social Work from the University at Buffalo. She believes healing happens through trust, authenticity, patience, and meeting clients where they are, rather than rushing the process.

One thing Emma wants families to know is that she values parent involvement and works to make caregivers active partners in their child’s progress. She has learned that slowing down and allowing clients to move at their own pace can make a meaningful difference in building trust and creating lasting change.

Outside of work, Emma spends plenty of time at the gym and is a competitive bodybuilder. She also enjoys yoga, hiking, and skiing, and is currently working toward certifications in personal training, nutrition, and functional health coaching.
