Danyell Logan is a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) and counselor at HWS Best Health, bringing extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. She has held multiple roles in the mental health field, including Case Manager, Licensed Social Worker (LSW) under supervision, and School Counselor. Her recent promotion to LISW allows her to provide clinical supervision, independent assessments, and advanced therapeutic services, reflecting her well-rounded perspective on client care across diverse settings and populations.

Danyell’s approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths-based, emphasizing safety, support, and the development of self-awareness and resilience. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, mood disorders, and substance use concerns. She draws from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), incorporating play therapy and art-based interventions when working with children and adolescents. Danyell believes that healing occurs when clients feel heard, empowered, and supported to take small, meaningful steps toward change.

Danyell earned her associate’s degree in Business Management from National College University and both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Social Work from Youngstown State University, where she also completed specialized training in EMDR therapy. She has held leadership roles and served on committees throughout her career, contributing to program development, staff support, and client advocacy while remaining active in professional organizations.

Outside of work, Danyell enjoys spending quality time with her family, engaging in creative activities such as art and music, being outdoors, playing board games, and watching movies. She is an identical twin, loves cooking and gardening, and previously owned her own restaurant/catering business. These hobbies allow her to express creativity, connect with others, and recharge so she can bring her best self to her work.
