Beatrice “Bea” Grant, LSW, has dedicated her career to supporting children, adolescents, and families through a variety of settings. Most recently, she worked as a social worker on an inpatient pediatric psychiatry unit, coordinating care and building relationships with hospitalized youth and their families. Before that, she worked as an early childhood mental health consultant with preschool-aged children.

Bea takes an eclectic, collaborative, and person-centered approach to therapy. She believes therapy is a process that both the client and therapist participate in together, rather than something simply “administered.” Her work is grounded in trauma-informed care, safety, and relationship building, with an emphasis on creating a space where clients can authentically be themselves.

Her areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, OCD, adolescents, and LGBTQ+ issues. Bea has training in TF-CBT, CBT, and Conscious Discipline and may also draw from DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) depending on each client’s needs. She believes healing happens when people feel genuinely heard and accepted without judgment.

Bea earned her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University, where she double majored in Piano Performance and an individually created Interdisciplinary Studies program. She earned her Master of Social Work from Case Western Reserve University with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families, along with a certificate in Trauma-Informed Practice.

Clients can expect Bea to be honest, transparent, and supportive while encouraging them to bring their full selves into therapy. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her fiancée and their two cats, Peter and Pixie. She also loves arts and crafts and is currently learning to knit, working on paint-by-number projects, and embroidering.
